Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ludorax ("Ludorax", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit ludorax.com (the "Site"). We are committed to handling your information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Ludorax is an independent editorial project that reviews free mobile games available on Google Play. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect only what we need to operate the Site:
- Data you provide. If you use the subscription form, we collect the email address you submit and, optionally, your name and phone number.
- Technical and log data. Your IP address, browser type and user-agent, device and operating system, referring pages, and the dates and times of your requests.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Identifiers stored on your device for essential functions, analytics and, with your consent, advertising. See our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics data. Aggregated, mostly non-identifying usage statistics such as pages viewed and general location (city/region level).
- Advertising identifiers. Where advertising is served, ad partners may process online identifiers to measure and limit ad frequency.
- Web-push identifiers. If you opt in to browser notifications, our provider (OneSignal) assigns an anonymous push subscription identifier and stores the email/tags you submit.
3. How and why we use your information
- To operate, maintain and secure the Site;
- To send the newsletter and web-push notifications you have requested;
- To understand how the Site is used and improve our reviews and layout;
- To display and measure advertising, and to keep advertising clearly separated from editorial ratings;
- To respond to your enquiries and comply with legal obligations.
Under PIPEDA we rely on your consent (express consent for the newsletter, web-push and non-essential cookies; implied consent for strictly necessary processing) and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, functional website.
4. Web-push notifications and OneSignal
Our browser notifications are powered by OneSignal, Inc., acting as our data processor. When you opt in, OneSignal processes a push subscription identifier, your browser and device information, and any email address, name or phone number you submit through the form, plus a tag identifying our domain. You can withdraw consent at any time by disabling notifications in your browser settings or by contacting us. OneSignal processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy terms.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site, under contractual confidentiality obligations, including:
- Hosting and content-delivery providers that store and serve the Site;
- Analytics providers that produce aggregated usage statistics;
- Advertising networks that serve and measure ads;
- OneSignal, for newsletter and web-push delivery.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. Some providers may process data outside Canada; where that happens, the information remains subject to comparable safeguards and to the laws of the jurisdictions in which those providers operate.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; log and analytics data is kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.
7. Your rights
Subject to PIPEDA, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your data. To make a request, email [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), our supervisory authority.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, which takes effect when published on this page.
